PRE-ORDER: Durrty Goodz - Ultrasound

The long awaited 2nd CD from Durrty Goodz is finally here (as a physical sales exclusive to UKrecordshop.com) and it’s certainly taken its own sweet time in coming. ‘Ultrasound’, the follow up to one of the top grime releases to date, the ever on point ‘Axiom EP’, is actually only the pre-album to Goodz’s highly anticipated full length ‘Born Blessed’ which could be due out some time later this year.

There’s some big productions included with every beat sounding particularly stacked and punchy. Contributing producers Nocturnal, Rudekid, Taz Buckfaster, Bouncer, Demos, Maniac and Joker all pull out the big guns and a lot of the time they find the middle ground sweet-spot between grime and dubstep, which really suits Goodz and provides him the platform he needs to jump on the tracks and own them with his astoundingly quick lyrical dispatch.

Dealing lyrically with mostly ‘grime’ matters such as people going mainstream, other emcees rhyming bars on top of electro beats and the death of raves and of the scene in general, he unfurls his raps with a big shit eating grin on his face, knowing - in some part at least - that his bars are absolutely slaying each instrumental.

Bear in mind: this is just the warm up for ‘Born Blessed’. The bar was pushed sky high after Goodz's turns on 'Axiom' and if the variation Goodz displays continues to flow then fans are in for a serious treat when his full length finally drops.
