The latest plate from Tectonic hit the electronic doormat a couple of weeks back and Pinch, aka label boss Rob Ellis, is releasing a split 12” of Dutch destruction featuring a track a piece from Martyn and 2562.
2562’s ‘Kontrol’ harbours an industrial swirling synth that slowly flanges its way around the minimalistic drum patterns whilst Martyn, here pre-empting the release of his imminent ‘Great Lengths’ album unleashes a thick 2-step beat with synth washes that build and swell in on themselves on ‘Yet’.
Additional props go out to Martyn for his inclusion of the facebook IM bing (as well as his sterling production…) it’ll keep you alt-tab shortcutting the whole way through as you rush to check your phantom messages.
